Congratulations to to all the NENY PGA Special Award recepients! The Awards Program is based on an individual professional’s performance from the previous season.

Our Special Award Winners will be announced in front of their peers at the Spring Meeting taking place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY, at our scheduled meeting date of April 18th. Each award is based on individual criteria as well as the professional’s contibutions to the betterment of the section and association.


Golf Professional of the Year: Frank Mellet, PGA Head Professional

This is the highest honor paid to PGA Professionals in recognition of a member’s overall performance and contributions as a golf professional to his/her facility and level of service to the section and Association. 
Frank's career with the PGA spans over 25 years and he has worked for Colonie Golf & Country Club since 1991. He was named the 2010 NENY PGA Player of the Year and he has served numerous positions on the NENY PGA Section Board of Directors as Committee Chairman.

reflects the qualities and ideals of those who work with our nation's youth, and provides

Steve started his career with Wilson Golf Company and joined Nike Golf in 2001. His quality of service,
professionalism, and overall support of section programs and professionals has earned him this honor.
