NENY PGA Tournament Season Concluded

The NENY PGA Section's Tournament Program season has concluded with the final Tour Championship played last week. A hearty congratulations goes out to Scott Berliner, PGA Assistant Professional at Saratoga Spa GC who walked away with the following titles:

OMEGA Assistant Player of the Year
OMEGA Player of the Year
Vardon Stroke Average Winner (69.50)

Congratulations also goes out to Dal Daily, PGA Head Professional at Battenkill CC for earning the:
OMEGA Senior Player of the Year

Lastly, congratulations to John Durcan, PGA Life Member who wrapped up the
OMEGA Legends Player of the Year

HELPING TOM SULLIVAN'S FAMILY

Our NENY PGA Section has been through a lot of sorrow in a short time and most recently the very tragic passing of NENY PGA Section Member, Tom Sullivan, PGA Head Professional at Wyantenuck CC for the past 21 years.

We will continue to keep everyone apprised of any service information once known. Condolences can be sent:

PGA MEMBERSHIP DUES REMINDER

We're now into October and have a lengthy list of members who are still in need of paying dues. The deadline to pay membership dues before late fees apply is October 31st. Section & National dues portions must be paid.

PGA of America & Supreme Golf Partnership

The PGA of America and Supreme Golf, a leading tee time marketplace and golf course software company, have entered into a multiyear relationship to launch a new tee time booking marketplace: PGA Tee Times. The marketplace is slated to launch in early 2021 and will be available on PGA.com, SupremeGolf.com and their respective mobile apps. This relationship gives courses a new option for managing their tee sheets by allowing courses to set and manage pricing.

A consumer launch of PGA Tee Times is planned to debut in 2021. For continued information on this partnership, please visit teetimes.pga.com.

RFP Opportunity for Next Golf Professional Services Providers for for Keney Park GC, CT
* CTPGA is business golf partner of the City of Hartford since 2014
*Process is now officially underway to search for the next golf professional services provider to be selected to be Keney Park GC for a 3 to 5 year agreement.

Anyone with interest is encouraged to contact Tom Hantke, Executive Director of the Connecticut PGA Section who can assist with registration on the City's bid site portal, but also providing comprehensive and complete financial information related to the business of Keney Park G.C., thereby helping you with submitting your financial proposal.

The RFP (Request for Proposal) bidding is now open on the City's Plant Bids portal which can be viewed here:

The first step is to complete the New Vendor Registration. You register as an individual or as a company. From there you see all open bids for contracts, including invitation #5990 for Golf Course Professional Service.

Once there, you have access to all documents pertaining to this RFP and can download them yourself. I have attached two of the downloaded documents to perhaps give you more background.

Bid process closes on October 28th.

Season-Office Closed Monday

In observance of Columbus Day, the NENY PGA Section office will be closed on Monday, October 12th, 2020.
