Brad Gardner, PGA To Play 200 Holes of Golf for Folds of Honor & CBS News Segment
The Folds of Honor (FOH) provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members. Through golf and Patriot Golf Day there are numerous golf facilities and PGA members who through their own tailored fund raising efforts raise funds for FOH through the great game of golf!
Special thanks to Brad for his extraordinary efforts and his message shared below.
This charity means the world to me. While I have friends and family that ar
More than anything I wish they'd put something in the segment about Ron Ireland , PGA (Saratoga Golf & Polo Club) and Willie King, PGA (Plattsburgh Golf). Those guys have been at this much longer that I have, and I think it's amazing that they've raised over $200k between them. That's 40 families that they have been able to help - 40 kids that don't get to call mom AND dad from college. 40 brothers that can't call their sister to vent about their parents going senile. 40 devastated families who are left with no choice but to honor the memory of their loved ones instead of hugging them and saying, "I love you". That is what this is all about.e current and past military members, I've never lost any of them to war. Political views aside, the families that we're raising money for, have just lost their whole world. Whether it's a husband, wife, brother, sister, father, mother, son, or daughter. Their loved one left them to defend a country of complete strangers and lost their lives doing so. Now they're living their worst nightmare. If the work we do with FOH can relieve, even part, of one of their stresses, I think that's a great accomplishment. Their loved one gave their life helping Americans, and as an American, I feel it to be my duty to help them in return. It's the least we can do.
