Doug Evans Junior Tour Memorial Scholarship
In an effort to recognize NENY PGA Junior TOUR members and to assist them with their higher academic goals through financial assistance, the PGA Reach NENY has established two (2) scholarships of $2,000 each to high school graduating seniors in the memory of Doug Evans.
Doug Evans was the heart and sole of the NENY PGA Section’s Professional Tournament Program & Junior Golf Association for 16 years. His devotion to our hundreds of juniors and families through his work with our NENY PGA Section Junior Golf Association (credited from its inception) to PGA Junior League to so many other touch points through his career was profound. To say it the simplest, his presence and representation positively impacted the lives of the junior golfers and families he interacted with.
Although he was taken too soon, we know he would appreciate the thought of contributions be using in his memory to help continue the efforts to IMPACT LIVES THROUGH THE GAME OF GOLF.
