The Birdie Challenge – Wednesday, October 14th 2026
Hosted by: Mohawk Golf Club!

This flagship event serves as the primary fundraiser for our PGA REACH NENY Foundation. In its 2 short years, it has raised over $182,000!  See a few examples below of impact of the funds put in place!

  • Due to the initial success, the Foundation has began a new Youth Golf Grant Initiative of $10,000 to give funds to local families to help offset any financial barriers to the game and has already distributed the 1st Quarter allocation of $3,500 in 2026.
  • In addition, the NENY PGA Doug Evans  Memorial Scholarship has been increased from 2 recipients to 3 and scholarship amounts increased from $2,000 to $2,500
  • NENY PGA HOPE and veteran programming will include social/community gathering events for PGA HOPE Graduates and a new Spring PGA HOPE Kick Off golf tournament

The PGA REACH NENY is proud to host the inaugural Birdie Challenge! NENY PGA Professionals will team up with each other and even include a few club facility amateurs as part of the team to make as many birdies as possible to raise funds to support PGA REACH NENY Foundation. Support your PGA Professional and teams today!

The Birdie Challenge is a one-day fundraising event to support PGA REACH NENY and all of our foundation pillars to positively impact lives through the game of golf. NENY PGA Professionals and amateur team members will play (45) holes of golf in one day to make as many birdies as possible! Through each team and individual’s network, solicited donors make a financial pledge per birdie or with a flat donation to “support their pro!” and help raise funds to benefit our non-profit 501c(3) foundation.

Every pledge truly makes a difference to impact lives – Please consider helping us today!
