NENY PGA Fall Meeting

Virtual Fall Meeting: Monday, Nov. 16th
Time: 9:00am-11:30am
MSRs: 2 Required MSR Credits for Class A Members who ARE LOGGED IN DIGITALLY (NOT VIA TELEPHONE)
FREE - No Cost for attendance

REGISTRATION: It is important to Pre-Register for the Meeting via our usual Blue Golf Event registration link per normal by Fri, Nov. 13.

In-Person Option: There is an option for anyone who would like to attend "In Person" at The Edison Club. The ball room presents ample room to meet social distancing rules and will be limited to the group size of the first 50 registered for this option. The NENY PGA Section's Board of Directors will be in-person. Simply select this as the option during registration.

NCA Resources To Utilize

The NCA continues its efforts to educate clubs on how to safely and effectively navigate this unprecedented crisis through shared updates. The latest newsletter updates clubs about new resources and guidance from NCA and trusted sources.

Check out the updated Coronavirus Resource Center, which provides guidance from trusted resources in critical club areas.

As a reminder, all NENY PGA members who meeting voting eligibility must be logged into a digital device to in order to vote in the elections during the November 16th NENY PGA Fall Membership Meeting.

The deadline date to announce candidacy has passed (Nov. 2) due to the virtual meeting limitations there will be NO calls from the floor for Board position openings.

PGA Financial Assistance Scholarship Update
We've had several inquiries into the timeline of the upcoing PGA Financial Scholarship. Please note below timeline:

IMPORTANT DATES:
Dec. 1, 2020 - Applications Open
March 23, 2021 - Deadline for Application Submissions & All Supporting Documents
May 2021 - Notification of Results
July 2021 - Funds Dispersed

It is open to children and/or grandchildren of PGA Class A Members or Life Members in good standing.

NENY PGA Tournament Director
Employment Posting

The NENY PGA Section Board of Director's has completed the employment opportunity and posting for the Section's Tournament Director position. The posting is listed in serveral places including the PGA of America's Job Board, on our own NENY PGA Section Employment Job Board page, and will be distributed and promoted within the other PGA of America Section offices and networking channels.

November - Job posting via PGA Job Board, PGA Sections communication, Direct Email to NENY PGA membership and surrounding PGA Sections
November 30 - Resume deadline
November/December - Interviewing Phases 1 & 2
*Phase 1 - By NENY PGA Section Staff. Locality dependent (local individuals can be in person, distance-related or out of state will likely require Google Meet/alternatives due to NY State travel restrictions).
*Phase 2 - NENY PGA Section staff and Executive Officers for in-person. COVID/NY state related travel restrictions to be factored in appropriately.
December/January - Final interviewing/Selection/Offer
January 30 - Start Date if not before

The 2020 National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship takes place from November 12-16 in Port St. Lucie, FL. Wishing our 2 NENY PGA Section Assistant Professionals who will be competing the best of luck:
