NENY PGA Membership News

Mark Duane, PGA previously a teaching professional at Skyline CC is now a teaching professional at Wahconah CC.

Congratulations goes out to Evan Silkworth (PGA Head Professional at Columbia G&CC) and his wife on the newest addition to their family, Aria Elizabeth. Aria was born on August 26th and although slightly sleep-deprived, everyone is happy and healthy. Congrats.

PGA Lead Cohort VI Class of 2021-2022

The application process for PGA Lead Cohort VI, Class of 2021-2022 is now open. Learn more information on eligibility, the application process, programming, the obligation of participants and the selection criteria.

The application window will be open until Friday, November 13th at midnight. The announcement of PGA Members selected for the PGA Lead Class will be made on December 7th.

We would encourage PGA members who desire to ascend through the volunteer leadership ranks of the Association to apply.

PGA MEMBERSHIP DUES REMINDER

We're now into October and have a lengthy list of members who are still in need of paying dues. The deadline to pay membership dues before late fees apply is October 31st. Section & National dues portions must be paid.

NENY PGA Fall Membership Meeting - VIRTUAL, Nov. 16

Don't forget the NENY PGA Fall Membership Meeting will be held VIRTUALLY!

Members must be logged into a device, there will no option to telephone in!

More info to come along with registration and all voting/election will be held virtually as well.

Seeking NENY PGA Facilities Who Offer Discounts to Veterans

Any NENY PGA Section Facility who offers or is willing to offer reduced greens fees for military/veterans please contact Christian Torres ctorres@pgahq.com

Christian just wrapped up a 5-week PGA HOPE Program hosted by the Town of Colonie with 15 veterans who LOVED the program and got to play a season ending outing at Leatherstocking GC!

Season-ending Tour Championship

Next week (Tues-Wed, Oct. 6-7), our season-ending Tour Championship will be held at Wyantenuck CC. Our top 20 NENY PGA Professionals eligible have earned exemption into the Championship and will be vying for the $11,000 Champions Cup purse based on our points re-set. Thank you to all of our members and associates who participated in our NENY PGA Section Tournament Program and keep an eye on the leader board next week.
