NYS Club Association Property Tax letter update

UPDATE--*IMPORTANT*--Pending New York State Property Tax Legislation

To All NENY PGA Professionals -

Many of you are likely very aware of the proposed legislation (resurfacing again) regarding golf course property tax in New York. The NENY PGA Section staff and leadership have also been monitoring the issue, along with our national body and allied organizations in the state. As the bill originated around NYC areas, the New York State Club Association has taken the lead on this issue with cousel and lobbyists and we wanted to inform our own NENY PGA membership on the most recent updates to this point.

Latest Update Regarding the NY State Proposed Property Tax Effecting Golf Courses

The letter provides a clear understanding of the issue and current process/updates and we urge all of our professionals and vested parties to continue to be diligent on the issue. For your use, the letter contains concise and easy directions to follow and resources for continued opposition to the bills, including a VERY turnkey internet link that auto populates and submits letters to the respective representatives based on home address. There is also a sample letter included that you can feel free to use the template and modify to your own to share with local government officials.

* There is also a sample written letter that the NYS Club Association has suggested each club submit as well.
