NCA Tracks Next Relief Legislation

Phase IV Stimulus Deal Could Benefit Clubs
White House negotiations with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) have reportedly made progress, but a deal remains elusive this week. The parties have a goal of reaching an agreement by the end of the week, but are currently far apart on major issues such as aid for schools, funding for the postal service and assistance to state and local governments. One area the parties are in fairly close proximity is enhancement of the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC). Read more on the proposed enhancement of the ERTC here.

Reminder: Check in with Your Insurance Broker
Clubs are reminded to work with their brokers as members are reporting to NCA that workers' comp premiums and general liability coverage are decreasing in costs due to the employment situation and lower F&B sales. The process involves estimating new payroll and sales for the balance of the policy year and providing that information to your brokers.

Virtual Summit Offering

Through our new, year-round online platform, PGA Show Connects Virtual Summit will be comprised of a half day of engaging content and webinars addressing market trends, player development, customer experience and retail strategies.

The Virtual Summit will feature many industry leaders including:
PGA President Suzy Whaley, PGA CEO Seth Waugh, Sports & Leisure Research Group President Jon Last and influential thought-leaders representing the best in their fields from coaching, retail, fashion and customer service. The Summit will close with a fashion trends panel discussion and an engaging virtual fashion show.

NENY PGA Section Fall PGA Jr. League Coming

With limited sports opportunities due to COVID, the NENY PGA Player Development Committee and staff are working on a section-wide PGA Junior League to be run this fall for 4-5 weeks.

The league play will be open to kids ages 6-17 and as soon as details are confirmed information will be sent out. We hope that all of our professionals will help promote this extended fun opportunity.

Matches will likely be Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Please contact the NENY PGA Section staff if your facility has an interest in hosting matches.
