PATRIOT GOLF DAY ANNOUNCEMENT
As many of you know, PGA REACH and Folds of Honor are joining forces to expand
and grow annual fundraising efforts for both
Patriot Golf Day and PGA HOPE, to better
serve the needs of Veterans and their families through the game of golf.
Patriot Golf Day will move to its rightful home over Memorial Day Weekend
to honor the sacrifice of America's heroes.
Additionally, this partnership will offer
broader opportunities and services directly benefiting Veterans through PGA HOPE and their f
amilies through educational scholarships funded by Patriot Golf Day and Folds of Honor.
While the delivery of Patriot G
olf Day will largely remain unchanged for the PGA
Professionals who execute fundraisers at the green grass facility level, there are
naturally some questions regarding this partnership. Please see the below FAQ document to provide more detail
Over the last two years, the USGA and R&A embarked on a joint distance study in the game. They recently released a summary of their report and findings.
In the coming weeks, the PGA of America will be asking for your feedback on all aspects of the report. Until we can collectively review the data and assess the overall implications on the industry, the PGA of America will refrain from public comments.
We look forward to hearing from all of you to better serve our purpose to “elevate and advance the member, profession and game.
As mentioned above the PGA Job Board can be found on PGA.org and contains a listing of ALL PGA jobs in any PGA Section both of management level (Head Professional/Director of Golf/GM) and non-management from Assistant Professional, Outside Operation, Pro Shop, etc.
Also mentioned above, the Compensation Survey will no longer be utilized. PGA members are all asked to take a few moments and complete the 6 questions for your PERSONAL JOB PREFRENCES. This will replace the Comp Survey and will also be a tool and resource that will be used to help tailor your own PGA Job Board when you log in at PGA.org to view employment opportunities.
REMEMBER: Currently PGA CareerLinks and the Job Board are both being utilized. So any job posted via CareerLInks is also being posted on the Job Board for any member to view the opportunity. CareerLinks will eventually be eliminated and YOU MUST BEGIN to be actively engaged in your employment and GO TO THE JOB BOARD (as email notifications will stop coming for CareerLinks notices)
