This is the qualifier for the PGA Senior Professional National Championship held October 3-6 at the Omni Barton Creek in Austin TX. The field will be playing for two (2) qualifying spots. The NENY PGA Senior Stroke Play Champion, if registered for the Sr. Professional Championship, will receive a qualifying spot automatically.

2020 Candidate for Secretary Election Guidelines
This link contains the Candidate Election Guidelines and Application for PGA Secretary. Please be aware that applications for Secretary may be submitted beginning September 15, 2019. Candidates must have their application and background check submitted and be nominated by a Section no later than December 15, 2019, to be eligible for any Candidate activity at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show and be an eligible Candidate for the 2020 Super Regional Meetings.


Deadline for Submission of Resolutions
As a reminder, the PGA of America Board of Directors and Sections may propose amendments to the Bylaws by submitting Resolutions no later than September 1st. The Resolution need only be in draft form, as it will then be harmonized, put in proper Resolution form and submitted to all Sections in final form no later than 30 days prior to the General Session of the Annual Meeting. Potential Resolutions may be submitted via email and need to be submitted through the Section's Board of Directors for submission.


Based on direct feedback from our Districts, the PGA Board of Directors will not bring forward any action at this time on the District Director Election Model which was discussed during the 102nd Annual Meeting. The Board appreciates the feedback from the Delegation

Class A Membership Earned
Congratulations to Annemarie Kissane, PGA who just earned her Class A PGA Membership Status! Annemarie started out as a NENY PGA Junior Golf Association member playing in our Junior Series, an Assistant Professional, and is now an Assistant Golf Coach at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY for their women's golf team and coaches the PGA Junior League team for Pinehaven CC. Congrats Annemarie!

6 NENY PGA Families - Recipients of PGA Financial Scholarship

We're excited to announce that 6 Children/Grandchildren of the Northeastern New York PGA Section were winners of a 2019 National PGA Scholarship. This year, due to available funds from the endowment, a total of $400,000 in scholarships were given out. There were 185 scholarships awarded. The John Cox Scholarship, for $5000, was awarded to 10 college students. The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship is awarded to high school and college students and this is in the amount of $2000, and was awarded to 175 high school and college students, combined.

Each recipient of the National PGA Scholarship has been sent an email directly to them (the student) to notify them that they are a scholarship winner and a letter and certificate will be sent to them.
