2020 Candidate for Secretary Election Guidelines
The link below contains the Candidate Election Guidelines and Application for PGA Secretary. Candidates must have their application and background check submitted and be nominated by a Section no later than December 15, 2019, to be eligible for any Candidate activity at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show and be an eligible Candidate for the 2020 Super Regional Meetings.

The OMEGA Champions Cup is the Section’s season-ending prize payout for the top 20 NENY PGA Professionals and concluded this past week with the playing of the last Major, the Tour Championship at Albany CC. The top 20 are exempt into the event and there is a points re-set, based on their finish from the Championship. Special thanks to OMEGA and PGA Tour, for their overall season long support of our professionals who participate and compete throughout the season. The OMEGA Champions Cup has an $11,000 prize payout for the top 20 and our 2019 final list can be viewed.

Satch Sales Hole of the Week

Congratulations to John Neet, PGA Teaching Professional at The Edison Club who wapped up 2019 Satch Sales Hole-of-the-Week Competition. Neet birdied five of the nine, par 3 holes through out the season-long competition. All Class A PGA Professionals are eligible for the competition and all must have played at least 9 of the Hole of the Week holes. Rounding out the top were Scott Berliner (Hiland Park GC) at 4 under par in second place and finishing tied at thee under par were Glenn Davis (Albany CC0 and Dal Daily (Windham CC).

Berliner Earns 9th Consecutive Title of NENY PGA POY

Scott Berliner, PGA Assistant Professional at Hiand Park Golf Club wrapped up multiple playing titles with his tournament play this season. This makes his 9th consecutive year earning the NENY PGA OMEGA Player of the Year and this year also secured the NENY PGA OMEAGA Assistant Player of the Year and the low stroke average (Vardon Trophy) with a season long average of 70.33 in points events.

Peter Gerard, PGA Teaching Professional at Mill Road Acres Golf Course held onto the NENY PGA OMEGA Senior Player of the Year title.
