Members on the Move & Updates

Mike Behan, PGA will be taking on a new sales representative role with a newly established company of Skyigolf as well as continuing as a sales representative with W&B/Yamaha Golf Cars

Kevin Canale, PGA has accepted and started as the new General Manager & Head Professional at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course. Good luck Kevin! Kevin was formerly the General Manager & Head Professional at Brookhaven Golf Club.

Anthony Therrien, Assistant Professional at Glens Falls CC has accepted the Head Professional position at Brookhaven and will begin in March. Good luck Anthony!

Welcome to Adam Ullman, PGA who comes from the Pacific Northwest Section and will be a new Assistant Proessinal next season at Leatherstocking Golf Course. Welcome Adam!

Tim Quick, PGA is also a PGA Professional transfering into the section from the Connecticut PGA Section.

PGA of America News

PGA Headquarters Move
PGA of America recently announced the final approval of an agreement with the City of Frisco, Texas which outlines a new chapter for the PGA of America to move its headquarters office to the city. The Association also remains committed in West Palm Beach, Florida and will keep a significant presence of staff there in addition to locking in an office space in New York City as well.

2018 PGA Pak Mailing
The 2019 PGA Pak mailing containing the PING Appointment calendar has been completed. All paks were mailed out (via bulk mail so it will take approximately two weeks) at the end of November. Please feel free to contact the NENY PGA Section staff if you haven't received your Pak mailing by the end of December.

PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program
The PGA Fnancial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program is now available at PGA.org.
Specific eligibility requirements and necessary steps and supporting documents needed can all be found online.

Iportant Dates to Know:

Nov. 16, 2018 – Access the PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship application here.

• March 4, 2019 – Deadline date for submitting scholarship application.
• March 18, 2019 – Deadline date for receiving the supporting documents.
• May 2019 – The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship recipients will be announced and notified.
• July 2019 – The scholarship checks will be mailed out.
• Aug. 2019 – Deadline date for photo submission.
• Oct. 2019 – The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship recipients will be on PGA.org and in PGA Magazine.

Section Office Holiday Schedule

As we are closing in on the final weeks of December 2018, please be aware that NENY PGA Section Office will be closing over the holidays and through the end of the year.

December 21 - January 2nd – NENY PGA Section office will closed
