Members On the Move 
Saratoga National Golf Club's Teaching Professional, Dan Gaucher has just completed his PGA PGM Program and earned his Class A PGA Membership as of January 11th. A big CONGRATULATIONS Dan!

We would also like to welcome back Brian Netti, PGA back to the section. Brian had previously worked as an Assistant Professional at Albany CC and the Sagamore before he left and transferred to Central NY PGA and worked as the Head Professional at McConnellsville Golf Club for 10 years. Brian is now affiliated with the MV Golf & Events Center (formerly the Mohawk Valley Golf Club) in Herkimer, NY. Brian worked as an Assistant last year and has just been promoted the General Manager role and work with PGA Head Professional, Mark Lane, PGA.

A big shout out to NENY PGA Section Board Members and Assistant Professional at Pinehaven CC, Matt McPhillips who was recently earned specialty certification in the PGA's Teaching & Coaching component. Congrats Matt!

Bob Cain, Teaching Professional at Saratoga National GC and wife Trisha welcomed their first baby, Patrick Robert Cain on Saturday, January 9th. All are doing wonderful and we wish you all the best!

To Our Fellow Industry Professionals,
 
     Happy New Year!  As some of you may have heard, Normanside has built a Trackman Studio with 5 Trackman Simulator Bays for the off season. As a courtesy to fellow industry PGA professionals we are extending a reduced rate of $25 per hour for personal use on weekdays between 9am and 3pm (subject to availability). If any Golf Professional wishes to teach in one of our Trackman
     Bays the they may work with students at that rate as well. To reserve a bay either contact Alex Demitraszek at alex@normanside.com. Bays can be booked up to 1 week in advance. We ask that you book with a minimum 24 hours notice to ensure availability.  Please make sure that both yours & fellow players clubs/shoes are clean upon arrival.

Who Qualifies for a Second Round of Small-Business Relief
 

Congress approved $284 billion to restart the Paycheck Protection Program, allowing some who already received loans from the program to get a second round of aid - so be sure you're informed!!

We encourage you to reach out to your banks to stay informed and to apply if  eligible. 

One of our own section banks provided a nice, comprehensive chart that helps breakdown eligibility, forgiveness details and defined the difference between first-time PPP applicant and those who are seeking to apply for a second-time (second draw) loan PPP
