NENY PGA - Candidates Finalized for Election
As a reminder, all NENY PGA members who meeting voting eligibility must be logged into a digital device to in order to vote in the elections during the November 16th NENY PGA Fall Membership Meeting.

The deadline date to announce candidacy has passed (Nov. 2) due to the virtual meeting limitations there will be NO calls from the floor for Board position openings.

Bill Richardson, PGA Director of Golf at Saratoga Spa Golf Course has moved to Life Member Retired classification.

With the change of NENY PGA Section Officers/Elections, the new NENY PGA Section President will be naming new Committee Chair's who in turn select their own Committee Members.

NENY PGA Tournament Director
Employment Posting

The NENY PGA Section Board of Director's has completed the employment opportunity and posting for the Section's Tournament Director position. The posting is listed in serveral places including the PGA of America's Job Board, on our own NENY PGA Section Employment Job Board page, and will be distributed and promoted within the other PGA of America Section offices and networking channels.

Tentative Timeline/Process
November - Job posting via PGA Job Board, PGA Sections communication, Direct Email to NENY PGA membership and surrounding PGA Sections
November 30 - Resume deadline
November/December - Interviewing Phases 1 & 2
*Phase 1 - By NENY PGA Section Staff. Locality dependent (local individuals can be in person, distance-related or out of state will likely require Google Meet/alternatives due to NY State travel restrictions).
*Phase 2 - NENY PGA Section staff and Executive Officers for in-person. COVID/NY state related travel restrictions to be factored in appropriately.
December/January - Final interviewing/Selection/Offer
January 30 - Start Date if not before

We urge all of our NENY PGA Section members to continue to be diligent with your safe practices and follow your state and local authorities guidance being issued as it relates to your business.

New York State - Latest Guidance issued in effect as of today, Fri, Nov. 13th includes:
Restaurants/Bar in-person service closing at 10pm - Please view HERE

Massachusetts - effective as of Nov. 6th a stay-at-home-advisory has been issued between the hours of 10pm-5am and local counties/cities have also started issuing guidance orders related to restricting in person restaurant/food service. - Please view HERE

PGA Board of Directors determined at their last meeting that there would be an extension in PGA membership dues for FYE 2021 dues process as well. Dues invoices will be produced on May 1st as usual but the deadline to pay will be extended from the usual June 30th date to August 31, 2021. Additional updates on this will be shared in early 2021.

Terminations for this year's (2020) non-payment of dues have been processed retroactive to June 30, 2020, the end of the prior Membership Year. Overall there were 1,608 individuals dropped for non-payment, compared to around 1,150 in a typical year. PGA of America will work with any members who still have outstanding dues for 2020.
