NENY PGA Fall Meeting 

Virtual Fall Meeting: Monday, Nov. 16th 
Time:  9:00am-11:30am
MSRs: 2 Required MSR Credits for Class A Members who ARE LOGGED IN DIGITALLY (NOT VIA TELEPHONE)
FREE - No Cost for attendance

REGISTRATION: It is important to Pre-Register for the Meeting via our usual Blue Golf Event registration link per normal by Fri, Nov. 13. 

In-Person Option:  There is an option for anyone who would like to attend "In Person" at The Edison Club. The ball room presents ample room to meet social distancing rules and will be limited to the group size of the first 50 registered for this option. The NENY PGA Section's Board of Directors will be in-person. Simply select this as the option during registration.  

Board Candidate Notices: Please be reminded that any eligible member who wishes to run for a Director-at-Large position or Office of Secretary can do so by sending a written announcement by Monday, November 2nd  There will be 3 Director positions open. Letters are posted at the event info web page.

Remembering Sully 

Mass Golf Association put a great article together remembering Tom Sullivan, PGA. and did a great job paying tribute to Tom.

Check it out HERE and as a reminder the Go Fund Me is still available for donations to be made and proceeds to be used for Tom's family. The outpouring of care is heartwarming among our membership, profession, and local golf community with a total of funds currently coming up on $65,000. 

2021 PGA Merchandise Announcement To Go Virtual

PGA Golf Exhibitions, in partnership with the PGA of America, announced last week the shift to an all-virtual format for the 2021 PGA Merchandise Show, to be held January 26-29, 2021. Prioritizing the health and well-being of the global golf community during the ongoing pandemic, the decision was made with guidance and feedback from exhibitors, attendees, PGA Professionals, the PGA of America, key industry associations, vendor partners and additional event stakeholders.

104th PGA Annual Meeting Results  

Delegates virutally attended the 104th PGA Annual Meeting yesterday afternoon on PGA.org  where they voted in the following PGA members into office to serve:
President: Jim Richerson (Southwest PGA Section)
Vice President - John Lindert (Michigan PGA )
*Secretary - Don Rea (Southwest PGA Section) 
*2 voting ballots

NENY PGA Fall Junior League Huge Success!

Below is a small taste of the impact and power of PGAJL programming. One of our parents took the time to share unsolicited their and their son's experience.Such a fantastic program and we encourage ALL of our NENY PGA Professionals and facilities to take the initiative if you haven't yet and start up a PGAJL at your club. Our league had 120 kids and ran 5 weeks of league matches with the help of our host site facilities and our PGA Professionals. These kids are primed and ready this spring to find a PGAJL near them!! 

Good Morning Christian!!!! 
I wanted to share that despite Ben's quiet start yesterday- He had a BALL!!! Oh my!! As Keith and I are learning - he is REALLY REALLY REALLY nervous before a match = not even alittle friendly. Oh dear! It's a bit disconcerting to us (we are people people), but we are learning to understand that this is just him. 

Please don't mistake this for not being thrilled to be there! After that first drive - he comes alive!! Oh my!!! Tic tok dances, rooting for others, laughing, running with cart, etc. He had THE BEST TIME today and what a BEAUTIFUL COURSE! These guys do a GREAT GREAT GREAT JOB with the grass, fairways and greens! WOW!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!

He and Thomas played a great game and were a wonderful match!  Such great families this evening as well!  WHAT A PERFECT EVENING! We truly cannot thank-you and your Team enough for making this happen!!!
