Inaugural Section 2 Girls Golf Sectional & State Qualifier

Mon, Oct. 7th @ Fairways of Halfmoon GC

Best of luck to the high school girls golfers competing on Monday, October 7th at the first ever Section 2 Girls Golf Sectional & State Qualifier.!

The NENY PGA Section staff and member professionals will be on hand offering our tournament services and also volunteering as Rules Officials for the event including sponsoring a luncheon following play with Dottie Pepper attending at the Awards Ceremony and to celebrate the occassion.

Brayden Dock, Lone Junior from NENY Advances to DCP Finals

Brayden Dock, from Queensbury, NY finsihed first place in the Boy's Age 12-13 in last Sunday's Regional Drive, Chip & Putt at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT and will be heading to Auguasta National GC next year to compete prior to Masters Week in the 2020 Drive, Chip & Putt Finals!

The Annual Fall Challenge Cup Match of the top NENY PGA Section professionals vs. our neighboring CNY PGA Section professionals is coming up soon. Player's eligibility is earned from the NENY PGA OMEGA Player of the Year list for the top 11 and the host PGA Professional rounds out the 12 person field.

Teams and parings are getting finalized for the Match which will take place on Thursday, October 17th hosted by The Edison Club.

Over the past 21 years, the Matches have been played annually without missing a year and the record stands at NENY PGA with 11 wins (retaining the cup last year too!), 2 ties and 8 for the CNY PGA nieghbors.Good luck to the NENY PGA players!

Membership Updates

Members on the Move
Peter Egazarian, PGA Teaching Professional at Taconic GC has just ended his teaching position with the club but is moving onto his next endeavor. Peter will be transfering to the Connecticut PGA Section and has moved onto be the Owner/Director of Performance with his new company Northeast Perfomance Institute. NPI is a comprehensive Performance Institute that includes 2 locations in CT (Portland and Southington) with 10-12 PGA/LPGA professional golf coaches and a staff of functional movement and mental professionals.

Round One Complete & Round 2 Under-Way

Keep tabs on the 31st Senior PGA Professional Championship that has Round 1 in the books and Round 2 taking place today, where the field of 264 Senior PGA Professionals will be cut to the low 70 and ties following today's completion.

For the NENY PGA Section, under the projected cut after an even par 70 is Jim Jeffers (Hiland GC) with Dal Daily (Windham CC) sitting just outside the top 100 after his 2-over par 72. Section member, Steve Vatter (Capital Hills at Albany) finished with a 76 and Erik Tiele (Waubeeka Golf Links) tallied a score of 80.
