Virtual – In adaptation to the times and circumstances, the NENY PGA Section Fall Membership Meeting was hosted virtually yesterday on Monday, November 16, 2020. The Board of Directors, staff and Section Board Candidates were gathered as a group at The Edison Club.

As a reminder, all NENY PGA members who meeting voting eligibility must be logged into a digital device to in order to vote in the elections during the November 16th NENY PGA Fall Membership Meeting.
The deadline date to announce candidacy has passed (Nov. 2) due to the virtual meeting limitations there will be NO calls from the floor for Board position openings.

Season-ending Tour Championship
Next week (Tues-Wed, Oct. 6-7), our season-ending Tour Championship will be held at Wyantenuck CC. Our top 20 NENY PGA Professionals eligible have earned exemption into the Championship and will be vying for the $11,000 Champions Cup purse based on our points re-set.

Devastating loss of long-time NENY PGA Section Staff Member, Doug Evans. Tentative plans to honor Doug will be calling hours and a service here in New York on Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday of this week and will take place at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home in Latham, NY. Followed by a memorial in Michigan at a later date.
An official obituary and details will be confirmed in the next few days and will be shared immediately once known.

Brad Gardner, PGA Head Professional at The Edison Club made a goal of increasing the funds his golf marathon raised and was shooting for $50,000! This is the 3rd year Brad has done the marathon in the name of the Folds of Honor at The Edison Club and bested his first year of $20,000, second year of $30,000 to a staggering $60,000 in proceeds raised which will benefit the charity to help provide scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members
