PGA Professionals, and other eligible golf industry professionals can apply for Phase 2 starting today. This has a longer application process and will distribute grants of up to $3,500 as reviewed and approved by E4E.

We’re so happy to be able to give back to the nurses and staff that coordinate and allow us to bring PGA Golf in Hospitals to the pediatric wing. A $1,000 donation in the name of the newly formed c3 foundation entity that will be the charitable arm of the Section was made on Wednesday, May. May 6th (nurses appreciation week ). A huge thank you to Albany Medical Center and Joe Marello from Bellinis Counter for making this possible, where 100 meals were served to the nurses on staff.

As states across the nation and communities begin to re-open, we all know that golf can offer an outdoor recreational experience that provides many health and wellness benefits. The Allied Golf Organizations,with the PGA of America in the forefront in alignment with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), have developed a comprehensive plan that allows golf to be played responsibly while observing recommended social distancing guidelines.

** COVID-19 – New York Pause Order Extended until May 15th
& Statement from the NENY PGA Section Leadership **
Per Governor Cuomo’s update given yesterday, the “Pause Order” that was in effect until April 29th has now been moved back to May 15th.

Golf course operations still remain in the same status – defineded specifically as not *essential businesses* since the ESD’s last update.
